On May 28, 2025, GBT, an ultra-fast charging battery company incubated by Guangzhou Automobile Group, and China Railway 25 Bureau, a subsidiary of China Railway Construction, one of the world's top 500 companies, entered into a strategic cooperation in Guangzhou, in which the two sides will carry out industry chain synergies in the areas of sales of ultra-fast charging batteries, ultra-fast charging station construction and operation, as well as plant engineering, so as to assist in the landing of the goal of “dual-carbon”.

As the first privately-held mixed ownership high-tech enterprise incubated within GAC Group, GBT focuses on the research, development, production, sales and service of ultra-fast charging batteries and new-generation breakthrough energy storage devices and their systems. The company has built a full production line of ultra-fast charging batteries covering the entire production process from cells to battery packs, opening a new chapter in the large-scale production of ultra-fast charging power batteries, and is at the forefront of the field of all-solid-state batteries. In the test of the new national standard for charging in 2025, the average charging multiplier of GBT's ultra-fast charging battery reaches 8.8C, and its technological leadership has been recognized by international authority.

China Railway 25th Bureau, reorganized and established in 2004, is the core enterprise of China Railway Construction in South China, with three general contracting qualifications of railroad, highway and construction engineering, and an annual comprehensive construction capacity of over 50 billion yuan. In recent years, the group has been actively laying out new energy infrastructure, leading the construction of major projects such as green and intelligent charging stations in Greater Bay Area, and the Nanhua independent and shared energy storage power stations, and forming technological barriers in the fields of intelligent construction sites and BIM technology application.

According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the areas of ultra-fast charging battery sales, ultra-charging station construction and operation, and capacity building. GBT and China Railway 25th Bureau will set up a joint team to develop vehicle and scene customers, and vigorously promote the construction of super-charging network, build super-charging stations relying on urban hubs, port logistics and other scenes, and simultaneously promote the “super-charging Hong Kong” demonstration project, realizing the “vehicle - piles - scene “ integrated operation.
