GBT's Charging Test under the New National Standard

2025-05-21

Nowadays, the new energy vehicle market is booming, and the ultra-fast charging technology is “soaring”. Whether in the field of passenger cars or commercial vehicles, ultra-fast charging has become the focus of attention of the industry and society, triggering extensive discussions, marking the arrival of the spring of ultra-fast charging batteries, and a wave of triggering the ultra-fast charging battery market is on the way.

On May 20, GBT, a leading enterprise in the field of ultra-fast/super fast charging battery, completed the first public test in the industry after the release of the new national standard for charging. The test results show that, based on the new international standard for charging, the mass-produced ultra-charging battery products of GBT have greatly improved their performance after software iteration, and still retain a certain advantage over the industry's leading level, which highlights the strength of the first echelon of ultra-rapid charging technology.

At the end of 2024, the new national standard for high-power charging was fully introduced. Among them, the voltage and current of the charging interface are clearly stipulated, with the upper limit of current raised from 250A to 800A, and the upper limit of voltage raised from 1000V to 1500V, which covers the charging pile gun head and vehicle charging socket. This provision comprehensive consideration of safety, cost and energy efficiency, not only for charging safety redundancy space, but also need to be compatible with the old and new national standard interface, to avoid the cost of component upgrades due to the increase in current geometric growth.

In the industry's first public test of the new national standard for charging, as a dark horse in the field of ultra-fast charging batteries, GBT's mature battery products that have been mass-produced have realized a performance leap through software upgrades: based on the 800A national standard charging piles, its XFC ultra-fast charging batteries take only 3 minutes and 58 seconds to charge in the 5-63% SOC zone, 62 seconds faster than the nominal time of megawatt flash charging; and it takes five minutes to charge a capacity of 54.54kWh (5%-78% SOC), which is a very good result in terms of energy efficiency. 5-78% SOC) in 5 minutes, with an average charging rate of 8.8C, surpassing the performance of friends on the 1000A non-standard pile. The 2022 AION V Plus model equipped with this battery, after software upgrade, has a sustained average multiplication rate of more than 8C in the 0-80% SOC zone, and can break through a higher multiplication rate in the 20%-70% SOC zone.

The test results show that, based on the new international charging, the performance of GBT's mass-produced super-charging battery products has been greatly improved after software upgrade, highlighting the strength of the first echelon of super-rapid charging technology.

Dr. Pei Feng, CEO of GBT, believes that ultra-fast charging will become the standard for electric vehicles, just as manual gearboxes are upgraded to automatic gearboxes, and the era of “no super charging, no electric” is accelerating. 800A is the current DC charging interface current capacity of our country's stable regulations, which includes the comprehensive consideration of safety, cost issues, and the enhancement of efficacy. GBT has always taken the needs of the scene into consideration during the product development process, and has created excellent hardware performance with high standard technology. GBT is a mass-produced mature product, and with the upgrade of the new charging standard, the GBT battery shows its unique advantage, which can fully release the strong performance of the hardware by simply implementing the software update. With the goal of truly realizing “technological affirmative action and sharing the beauty of technology”, GBT is developing more competitive XFC fast charging batteries, which will soon be mass-produced and launched on the market.
